I turned into Fortune Cookie Boy after i quit my last job.
I had been working in New Zealand´s only Fortune Cookie factory “Bantam 75” for more than a year
and I was fed up. I was so fed up I thought my brain was going to implode.
So I decided to start recording songs I had written earlier, using my Fostex R8, an old 8-track /
1/4-inch-tape-machine that has been with me for almost a decade now.
With this machine you need to change tapes every 22 minutes.
It turns and spins and operates at different speed-levels. It has its own magnetic field.
Watching it operate makes you feel like the world is not such a bad place after all.
I´m recording whenever I can, but time is short.
